That is about right. Galchenyuk was the cap balancing throw in, the Pens continue to need that space for other deals since they are now w/o Marino. They need another d-man because if Jarry/Murray have to deal with 25+ minutes again with a Letang/Johnson pairing they will quit.

Yeah he might even get flipped again. Also this may signal a Dumba trade either at the deadline or in the offseason.

Good move for both teams imo. Wild did excellent for what they need to do and the Pens gave up a bit of a steep price but their window is right now and Zucker has 4 years of affordable control

It is totally the win now goal of GMJR, don't blame him though because if lucky they have 3 good years left. A 1st rd pick and Addison probably won't be ready in that time.

Nice deal by the Wild. With how strong the draft is this year I wasn't sure that we'd see any 1st rounders moved at the deadline. Addison is a nice prospect too. I've watched him him live a in the Dub a couple of times and he stood out in a good way.

I simultaneously want the Devils to blow everything up but also want to stay glass half full for the future and keep some vets around.

Palmieri and Vatanen probably get a decent haul but I also think the team needs those guys moving forward. Maybe Lou will get nostalgic and trade for Greene.

Without a doubt it is a good trade for the Wild. They are barren of any prospects and need to rebuild. Too bad for them they are stuck with the Suter/Parise contracts. The only hope for those is if Guerin pulls off some Rutherford type of deals or they both go on LTIR with Hossa disease.
