Does anyone else think Lavy/Homer made the move to put Hartnell on the top line in order to boost his stock a little for a trade to come?

The way he is producing you'd think he is starting to become a little too valuable to trade. I doubt anything happens now, but imagine Hartnell getting traded for someone who actually has talent to play with G and Jagr.

I think everyone was a little overzealous with the guy....if he continues to play like he can and avoid the stupid penalties why move him??? He's exactly what this team needs come playoff time you can't just have a bunch of rookies and finesse players.

yep.. if he plays like he has been with that line, he's extremely valuable to the team and there's no reason to move him

To replace who? Once Pronger returns, we have too many defensemen as it is...lol The defense should really be fine ultimately. I think the forwards just need to support them a little bit more and we did that in our last game without Pronger, so the future is looking brighter.

Hartnell is like a sponge. Stick him with solid linemates like Giroux and Jagr, and he will absorb their skill and play well. Stick him with crappy linemates on the third line, and you have, well, a sponge covered in crap.

No - I don't think that's why he's playing with G and Jagr, but I'd love to think that this was true.

Yep and if Harts contract was a little lower no one would be complaining as much. Of course I'd rather see suter in Carle's spot but I don't think its worth getting rid of a playoff vet the young guys need some sponges around there...haha!
