not trying to be a homer but i think i got to go with the AL west

yes we have the astos but rangers, oakland, angels will probably all be good teams....mariners could be pretty good this year with the new bats

NL east and west are the others i was thinking but i think those will just be a 2 team race for the most part....nats/braves....dodgers/giants

darkhorse for those that might hang in arizona/philly

I can easily go with that. AL east would have to be second. The funniest part about the NL is every division is pretty much sealed up. The only race I expect is the last wild card spot between the cardinals and dodgers.

i dont think the AL east will be that tough......i dont think the jays will do what people think

and i think the orioles will regress a bit......before all the injuries i thought the yanks would take it but i think it will be between the rays and red soxs if lester/bucholz bounce back

and to this i think you are nuts...nats/braves will go down to the wire and dodgers/giants will be a tight race

reds/cards will be close probably also

The way I said it came out wrong. I was thinking more along the lines of playoffs due to every division having two top teams who stand out way beyond the rest. We know the braves and nats are going to be crazy this year. I dont see the second place out of the west or central being better than the second in the east. The cards aren't what they were last year and the reds are better. I don't think the giants are super tough, but the dodgers always seem to blow every chance they get so i'm just going to play the odds.

gotcha......yeah i think the braves/nats/giants/reds are pretty much favored to win the post-season spots unless something catastrophic happens to one of those teams

If the Brew Crew have anything for us, I think the NL Central will be tough.

There's more parody in the AL east than anywhere else in baseball

If you are looking at JUST the top 2 teams, I think you need to go with the NL East, with a nod to the NL West.

If you are looking top-to-bottom, I think you need to look at the AL East, with a nod to the AL West.

That is so true. The AL East is a parody of real baseball.

Haha, my Yankee fan buddies hate when I say the Yankees play fake baseball. I know home runs are exciting and all that, but if you look at the stat line for these guys it's a joke. They all bat like .240 with 30+ hrs 100+ rbis. There is no such thing as small ball. And their pitchers all have 13-14 wins and ERAs over 5. The dimensions at Fenway and Yankee Stadium are a joke.

1. What makes "small ball" real baseball? The Red Sox won 2 rings mashing the ball, scoring tons of runs and hitting lots of HRs.
2. The AL East had 4 of the top SPs in the AL last season in terms of ERA, including the league leader.

I can already tell neither of us will change the others minds, but there is no strategy to "get up to the plate and knock one over the shallow fence in right".

Hit and runs, sac flies, stealing bases, all make for excitiing games. Just take a look at the Yankees last year, they couldn't hit home runs in the playoffs and their team was shot. Bunch of brutes clogging the base paths.

I'm going with the AL East. I don't think Toronto will be as good on the field as they are on paper. (See 2012 Marlins) But, I also don't think the other teams in this division will regress all that much, if at all. The AL East may not look as good because there's so much parity within the division. It's possible that every team could be .500 or better and not have a team win more than 90 games! The worst team in the AL East could be a top three team in any other division. Injuries will go a long way in deciding the winner. I can't wait to see how it plays out!!!

Pretty much agree here.. I don't see any team running away with it, and all 5 teams could be bunched together in the standings for quite some time.
