8 top 100 prospects, 6 top 50 prospects. Not bad, but time to put some to use.

Would have loved to use some of them to get Realmuto or a corner outfielder, but instead we signed Brian McCann and Nick Markakis to bargain bin deals. If it doesn't pay off in a World Series, the rebuild wasn't worth it, and if the team is unwilling to spend money or trade prospects for proven talent, we'll never have a chance.

Still time to use some for a starter or some BP help.

Come deadline time, keep a locker available for the big cowboy...

I think the Realmuto sweepstakes is being orchestrated by the Fish for our amusement. The people who claim to be interested aren't desperate enough to unload that much talent.

If they wait till the deadline, the 3 or 4 teams that really do need the bat/catcher will be identified. Chief among them are the Cardinals and the Braves.

San Diego can cough up 4 prospects but it doesn't make them a winner. To me, Realmuto is this year's latest iPhone. In 11 months, the next team will try to pawn him off for cheap talent.

A nice season last year ... all that talent in the pipeline ... things are looking pretty good for the Atlanta Braves right now. Any long term free agent might be foolish. Damn good recruits for the Bulldogs as well ... The Braves and the Bulldogs are looking to be powerhouses.

There's a realistic chance the Braves finish 4th in the division this year.

Sure Barnhart is great defensively, but let's be serious lol. He's no J.T. Realmuto. Realmuto will do alot of damage in this ballpark.

But I wouldn't do it for Hunter, Trammell, or Senzel.

India + Barnhart with a few sprinkles can get it done.

You don't want to sell your future, but if you really want to ... I know where you can pick up a 1st baseman, right fielder and starting pitcher (or two) for some quality prospects.

From 2014-2017 we were one of the worst teams in baseball. The future is now. I want to win now, and we're not gonna win much with what we have. Most of our top prospects are pitchers, and there isn't room for all of em. Flip some for some proven talent that will help the team.

We had enough money to go after Harper, but instead we bring back Markakis at a bargain bin price and bring back a 100 year old Brian McCann for nostalgia.

Only impact move we've made is Josh Donaldson and given his recent injury problems, he's far from a sure thing.

Only real chance we have is if the young guys already in the bigs all take the next step forward. Acuna needs to be an MVP candidate. Albies can't fall off in the second half, Dansby needs to play like a first overall pick and Newcomb has to get tougher mentally.

Without the extension, the Reds would be scalping themselves. Realmuto's agent doesn't want that. If Miami wants a cheap catcher, they can get one off the waiver wire.

No Heliot Ramos in the top 132???

Fangraphs does have him as a 50 FV prospect so he's probably not far off. He held his own in A ball, but he wasn't impressive and he does have some contact/plate discipline issues.

I agree that he is not a can’t-miss. But not even a top 132? The national hatred for the Giants farm is pretty amusing.

Not that the Giants farm is a powerhouse, but there is an amplified perceived stink.
