IndeedLots of good SGs
Not a lot of great ones
Image hidden. Log in or register to see images.Magic Johnson was a shooting guard, he is listed as such, but also as a point guard and power forward.......
Not sure where he would stand in this convo.......but I tend to think he should be listed.
My guess is he played mostly as a point guard because it was listed first in the NBA Reference site......
I would have Ray Allen top 10. TMac as well. Klay close, maybe 12-131. MJ
2. Kobe
3. D. Wade
4. J. Harden
5. P. Maravich
6. C. Drexler
7. V. Carter
8. G. Gervin
9. M. Richmond
10. J. Dumars
I didn’t use any online lists for reference. Maybe I forgot someone obvious. After Gervin, things got tough. I think my Top 8 would be most people’s Top 8, although probably not in that particular order.
I got T-Mac as a SF but he was definitely a tweener. I might change him to SG.I would have Ray Allen top 10. TMac as well. Klay close, maybe 12-13
Ben Simmons tried that didn’t t he? I think he played at least 20 games in his career so far….Yup. 6'9" pg. How crazy would that look today...?
Yeah, he did. Can't say he did a spectacular job lol...Ben Simmons tried that didn’t t he? I think he played at least 20 games in his career so far….
Paul pierce to me just screams small forward.SGA is top 5 already
I would not call Pierce a SG
3 time All Star, 2 time all defense, and an all NBA.Yeah, he did. Can't say he did a spectacular job lol...
Yeah, he got those accolades certainly. Just sayin' he wasn't a Magic Johnson. Course I'll admit that's a high bar....3 time All Star, 2 time all defense, and an all NBA.
Dude collected more accolades in 4 years than most NBA players do in their career. Makes you wonder what his career would have been if he admitted he is right handed.
Even if he maximized his talent he never reaches Magic, but I think with his head on straight he probably has an MVP and viewed as a future hall of famer.Yeah, he got those accolades certainly. Just sayin' he wasn't a Magic Johnson. Course I'll admit that's a high bar....
