A word of caution here. I watched the 2nd half again. While they really didn't run much his way, and didn't ask him to pass block in a 7 step drop, Compton was getting pushed back a lot in limited action. Hard to say if it's much of an improvement but it's worth a look.

Yeah, this isn't much of an improvement, but it does signal that Polumbus performance finally got him benched. All it means is that Moses isn't ready and we still need a RT. Compton isn't the answer.

Last year was great draft for safeties and offensive tackles. Of course we took an OLB

To be fair, we didnt over draft the OT that 90% of the board was clamoring for in the 2nd round and we still got him in the 3rd.

Why wouldn't they just put Moses in and let him develop in game situations? There is no dominant pass rusher for Dallas so it would of made sense. Polo is gone this offseason anyways.

Because they are still trying to save the season. thus they are going to be looking more at what can give us a chance to win more than whats going to help us develop long term.

Yes a win at Dallas does save the season but Compton is that far ahead of Moses right now?

On a scale of 1-10, maybe Compton is a 4.6, Moses is like a 4.4, so Compton starts over Moses for now.

Polumbus would be about a 3.8.

None of them seem like the long term answer.

the only thing i am going to say is this .

compton is getting his shot . its up to him to seize the moment

shark is right a win in dallas and then a win in minn followed by one in tampa and the potential is there to make a run

yeah i know its far fetched but a HC cant give that up . he would lose the team and the owner

i am also not going to bash a former 6th rounder making a move in year 3 . what more do you want from a pick like that ? if he can prove to be a viable swing tackle and moses nails down the starters job then i say we did well

;lets give compton some time to learn , Ok?

I know he forgot the snap count against Seattle. I just hope we win Monday.

Did you see Moses when he did play?

i wont come down too hard on a rookie missing a snap count vs the world champions

doesnt mean he is better then compton but we all know moses needs some seasoning

the only way he is gonna improve is playing time not sitting on the bench because team practice can only do so much for development

This just isn't true. What the good teams do is create a pipeline where young OL go through the process, then they step in when ready. You put a project like Moses out there against NFL players and you run the risk of getting his confidence, as well as his QB, destroyed.

Just because you don't like the starter does not mean the backup is better. This is true at RT and it's true at QB.
