I watched the Brady press conference for the Bengals. He didn't get one question regarding the Bengals, not one even though he tried to steer it there a couple of times. The media I think believe, that if they ask the same question, in a 100 different ways, they are eventually going to get Brady to say, "I can't stand this crap anymore, yes we suck, no we have no talent around me, I am fed up with the direction this team has gone."

Are the media heads out of their damn mind? Seriously, it was the same damn question asked in 15 different ways. I can't believe Brady smiled through the whole damn thing. I can understand why BB and Marvin go out of their minds with mind numbing repetitive questions. How many ways can you ask the same damn questions to make yourself look smart like you actually tried to ask something original? I think they should just have canned speeches regarding the week before, the upcoming opponent happenings on the team, injury reports, players standing out in the positive manner, etc. This will make the entire speech on target and avoid repeating themselves 15 times.

If I was Tom Brady I would have had to precursor my interview with, "We got killed in KC this last week due to poor play at every position on the field. We were embarrassed, we didn't play to our ability and we let one mistake snowball and then get carried away. KC has a good team and good home town fan support, and I congratulate them on a solid victory that helped shine light on areas we need to work on before we face the Cincinnati Bengals. We as a team, and I as an individual will work harder to ensure a game like this doesn't occur again. I would also like to remind everyone that we are still tied for first in our division, and by no means out of this thing only 4 weeks into the season. Yes, we have not looked like the Patriots of the last decade, but I can assure you, we are working hard to fix our issues, and collectively as a whole get better as the season wears on. So regarding the debacle in KC this last Monday night, we have moved on, and concentrating on the next game ahead of us, the Cincinnati Bengals. I will not field or comment on any questions relating to our play over the beginning part of the season as I have assured you, we have played like crap and yes, we are doing everything we can to correct this. If any question strays back into topic, I will ignore it and continue on with the interview with someone else who can listen properly. Thank you for your understanding. First question..."

The media wouldn't ask Brady about the Bengals game because they desperately want him or someone on the Patriots to speak out about how poorly they are playing. They know no one will say a word about it but they keep pressuring players to talk about it. Brady isn't stupid and won't get fooled and talk about this teams struggles and only wants to talk about their next opponent which is the Bengals. The media loves to over hype and try to bring stuff up that isn't there.

With that said I do wish BB and Brady and CO would say more during interviews besides, "we need to do better in all 3 phases of the game." That is getting annoying but I have come to expect it and not expect anything else.

one advantage NE has is that the game is in NE.
never run into the house of an old veteran expecting to walk out with his tv set.

I wish I was more confident with this. If this were a few years ago, I'd be more inclined to agree with you (in regards to the Patriots)

This game is shaping up to be a shit storm for the Bengals. Everyone is now jumping on the Bengals Bandwagon...which usually means it's due for a flaming crash. Everyone is dumping on the Patriots, forgetting that Belichick and Brady very rarely lose two games in a row. The Bengals are coming off a bye in which everyone has been blowing smoke up their ass...I'm not really sure what this means because it hasn't happened all that often. And finally, the game is @ NE where the Pats have a 30 game winning streak against the AFC.

I love this team...but much like a battered wife, I just can't stop flinching whenever something good happens. I try, but I can't. Too much history. I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I agree with every word of this post.

I keep seeing the Monday headlines about the foolishness of counting on the bengals and counting out the patriots.

tie up marvin and leave him in the lockerroom. Then play fundamental football. We should out talent them. No turnovers. No running on 1st and 20 with 51 seconds left in the half.

surprised the pats haven't signed BJGE as a free agent just for this game, or as a consultant.

That angle is over rated.

Besides, the offense is definately going to be different with no Jones and Eiffert on the field. Different things have to be done.

Isn't this when we're supposed to make some sort of joke about Belicheck already having all the stolen tapes he needs?

Pats fans, can I get some direction here?

Maybe Goodell should've asked Belichick for the Ray Rice tape.

Not sure why these Bengal fans are so glum right now. They are rooting for a pretty solid team and NE is on a 4 game streak of playing like shart. If it wasn't for Matt Cassell and the Oakland Raiders being exactly who we thought they were the Pats could be 0-4 right now.

Try dealing with what you have put up with so far this season for 20 years. Maybe then you will understand us better. We're naturally suspicious of short term success, because our history has shown us it doesn't last.
