North Dakota State ended up being that team

they started the season 1-0 with a 42-6 win over the Lafayette Leopards

Awesome to know I'm not the only person who likes these guys. I was talking to some guy once and getting him to tell me in depth stories because you don't find out much about teams like this. He thought it was crazy that I even knew this team much less had so much intrest in them. I became a fan back when the were the indian name that I can't spell. Geaux Bison

especially anyone who hates Minnesota

North Dakota State frikken owns Minnesota.

by the way Minnesota plays North Dakota State this year.

but then again North Dakota State is clutch against the D1-A opponents

they have a winning record against 1-A teams I believe.

My dad actually is an alum from North Dakota State.

For those unfamiliar, the Bison have only been a division 1 team since 2004. The school is in Fargo, and their stadium is the Fargo Dome, which would remind most people of arena football, LOL. Contrary to a previous post, NDSU was never nicknamed the Fighting Souix: that is their biggest rival, the University of North Dakota.

NDSU, had a top team in division 2, winning 5 national titles and 25ish conference titles in football before their upgrade. They've beaten Minnesota, Central Michigan and Kansas since then.

Glad to see the board supporting one of the little guys! Go Bison!
