WTF was he thinking.....Nola was dominating us. I understand opening Day he cant throw 100 pitches but he was only at 63....I would at least let him go to 85-90

Nola has owned us throughout his career too. He couldn't have given us a bigger favor.

Posted about this over on the Padres' board. I was and am ok with it, obviously didn't work out our way.

I can see that, but I'm a little old school, especially for my age. I don't care about the pitch count, I get pissed whenever Snit takes out a starter that is dominating and puts the game in the hands of a questionable at best bullpen.

1-0 feels a lot better than 0-1, especially when expectations aren't high

He had some real bad decisions last night.

Way too many early substitutions in a close game, one of which took out our best offensive weapon of the game(and it's rare you can say that about Dansby).

And I was at the game, so it's hard to tell intent, but after Suzuki got laid out by the Phillies pitcher with a HBP, you've gotta tell Folty to drill Santana, but he didn't, and Santana went deep in the AB.

Snitker is showing some emotion. Ejected again, and I love it. The umps just let the Phillies bypass some rules for a pitching change. I would have been pissed if Snit didn't get tossed.

Kapler needs to be ripped for his decisions this series.

Opening Day was a complete debacle for the Phillies.

He takes out his starter after 4 innings last night and then his BP has to cover 7 innings, and he uses 8 pitchers to do so.

And then this tonight where he takes out Velasquez with nobody warming up after 2.2 innings, which lead to all this mess.

Also, I've been pretty annoyed that Ryan Flaherty is our starting third baseman, but so far, he's been pretty damn good both with the bat and with the glove.

And Preston Tucker has been decent too.

Joe's an old school, no nonsense guy.

And Frenchy has exceeded my expectations as a broadcaster, and I like how he takes jabs at himself too.

Love Tom Glavine, but he just has such a dull personality, and Chipper isn't well spoken enough to be broadcasters. Would love to see Tim Hudson be in the booth for a few games too though.

It was nice to win the first series of the year, but winning a series against who might be the worst manager I have ever seen in action doesn't move the meter much. I might start to buy in a bit if we can win this series though. This is a real team we're facing tonight.
