Series was at Florida, Gators took 2 out of 3. Split the regular season title as co-champs. LSU won the SEC tourney.

I actually feel like this has been one of the better CWS's in recent memory. Plenty of Blue Blood teams, OSU's incredible season etc... Great pitching all tournament as well as plenty of offense. The long ball has been nice to see finally at TD Ameritrade.

It's been fun to watch for sure.

Have you been? I been hearing great from some and awful from others.

I have not been yet this year. We have tickets every year but typically give as many of them away to our clients as we can. I have been to plenty of games though in the past, both at TD Ameritrade and Rosenblatt.

Both ballparks have their pros and cons. Rosenblatt has the character and feel of the old time ballparks. It felt like how baseball stadiums should feel. The smells, the sounds all the way down to the vintage organ. However the concourses were narrow and closed in which felt like an oven on a hot summer day. Parking was a nightmare, most of the time you would pay $20 to park on somebody's lawn a mile away. Although the walk down 13th street in historic South Omaha to the stadium was full of sites and sounds to boot.

I'm in my late 30's but have great memories of going to games with my dad and friends and seeing players like Jason Varitek with Georgia Tech, Huston Street with Texas, Mark Prior with USC and Brooks Kieschnik with Texas among many many others. One of my favorites that I have watched come thru here was Kahlil Greene from Clemson. Kid could flat out play.

TD Ameritrade obviously lacks the nostalgia but that will come with time and memories hopefully. The major flaw with the ballpark is the design which has made it extremely difficult for long ball hitters. However, the open concourse makes it easier to navigate around the ballpark and to also be able to watch the game while at the concessions which you couldn't do at Rosenblatt. Also the outfield bleachers are much more fan friendly than Rosenblatt was.

The amenities outside the stadium are hands down better than they were at the Blatt. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the stadium with a large beer garden just to the south of the stadium. At the Blatt you'd typically have to walk for blocks for a beer after a game or simply drive to a different part of town. Parking I THINK is better at the new ballpark although last year I went and had to pay $30 for a spot and still had to walk about a mile to the stadium.

Does this starting pitcher for LSU actually come set before delivering? He's real active in his stretch movement prior to pitch as well as in his glove before delivery.

Minor I know but could be difficult for base runners

If this pitcher for LSU lasts 4 innings I'll be surprised. Florida definitely has the advantage in pitching
