where I rank them

1. Mark Hudspeth- he brought Louisiana-Lafayette from having only 3 wins a year ago to already having 8 wins this year.
2. Hugh Freeze - currently leading Arkansas State to an 8 win season, possibly even 10 wins if they win out from here, incredible.
3. James Franklin- he has made Vandypants much more competitive this year and is actually recruiting decently too.
4. Pete Lembo- he has done a great job at Ball State, has them bowl eligible with two games left, last time they were this good was when
5. Brady Hoke- was the coach, he's done pretty good with the players he was stuck with, the real progress begins once the overrated Denard Robinson is gone.
6. David Shaw- did a great job at Stanford keeping the momentum that Harbaugh gave to the program, he's recruiting pretty well too.
7. Bill Blankenship- done a pretty good job at Tulsa, lost 3 games to top 10 teams other than that has been winning.
8. Dave Doeren- had a bit of a rough start but starting to end the season strong at Northern Illinois.
9. Dan McCarney- had 4 wins with North Texas, pretty good job, win out and they're bowl eligible pretty amazing.
10. Rocky Long- did alright keeping the momentum Hoke gave to the program but did lose some that they probably should have won, the offense has struggled with turnovers.

rest to follow, I also added Fickell and the UNC guy to the list.

the rest

11. Steve Addazio- he's done a solid job with Temple currently has 6 wins
12. Will Muschamp- his first season at Florida hasn't been very good Florida already has 5 losses, this is the worst they've been in awile.
13. Al Golden- his first season at Miami of Florida has resulted in 5 losses which isn't very good, he has had highlights like a dominant win over Ohio State and a close loss to Virginia Tech, down to losing to Maryland. Can't blame him too much with the issues he was left with.
14. Everett Withers- with the issues he was left with so close to the season he's done alright has North Carolina bowl eligible at least.
15. Luke Fickell- another coach left with issues, Fickell had to deal with suspensions, but in some eyesore losses failed to motivate the team in any way, but did manage a good win over Wisconsin.
16. Darrell Hazell- he's actually done alright at Kent State, has 4 wins so far which is good for Kent State. We'll see if he can break the 6 win barrier.
17. Don Treadwell- his first season at Miami of Ohio is a bit of a disappointment took over after a 10 win season and he has to win out just to be bowl eligible, that's not good when they returned nearly everyone from that 10 win team a year ago.
18. Todd Graham- a mediocre year at Pitt currently 5-5 has to win one of their last two games just to be bowl eligible.
19. Jerry Kill- this season started as a disaster for him and Minnesota with a loss to New Mexico State and then a two touchdown loss to North Dakota State, but has started to have the team playing better later in the year with a big win over Iowa.
20. Paul Pasqualoni- a pretty awful first season at Uconn, currently 4-5 with some terrible losses to Western Michigan and Vandypants.
21. Jon Embree- he's had a terrible season at Colorado, currently 2-9 and Colorado looks more irrelevant than ever.
22. Kevin Wilson- a terrible season with Indiana, lost to Ball State AND North Texas, only win is a 17 point win over South Carolina State.
23. Randy Edsall- he's the worst hire of everyone on this list. With Maryland this year he's been flat out awful, only winning two games this year that's coming off a 9 win season a year ago, also managed to completely and utterly ruin his quarterback. What a disaster.
