First 3 home games will be held with no fans in attendance.
That is all for now.

Personally expect this to be extended.

I sit next to the nicest lady in her 70s or 80s, who comes with members of her family every week. She doesn't need to be around thousands of strangers until this shit is under control

Yeah I also think it gets extended. Going to a bit odd with no fans.

Odd sure, but this team clearly has the talent to win whether the place is loud or not. Can't wait to see those who pretend to know the Hawks puff their chests and claim the team is nothing without the noise.

So, is the NFL gonna have the fake crowd noise like other sports are doing? Seems a little harder to pull off since it can have more of an effect on the game.

Pretty sure the fake crowd noise is only played on the broadcast, not pumped into the actual game. The players don't hear it.

I honestly was not expecting to see any crowds this season which would be lame to watch a super bowl in an empty stadium

I have maintained my tickets just in case. So far, losing 2 PS games(yay) and 3 of 8 home games. We will see how it goes.

I opted out and elected to receive a full refund. Though I haven't checked to see if it hit my card, I expect them to take their sweet time.

My only hesitation is the assumption that I'll not have the opportunity to purchase my seats for any home playoff games. But honestly that is a concern that pales in comparison to how little I want to give Seattle any of my discretionary spending right now. Haven't been up there (we live 50 miles away) since last season ended, no plans to go back any time soon for really any reason.

I highly doubt there will be any fans at Seahawks home games this year. I just can't see Inslee allowing it even if the team wants to. Not even a given that I'll renew my tickets in 2021. I am losing the juice to regularly go (it's a full day, and it usually takes half of the next day to recover), and hanging back in the comforts of home sounds increasingly appealing as I'm approaching 50. If they decide to raise prices after a season where we couldn't even go to games, that may be enough to tip me over the edge. Even if I come back for '21, we will probably attend half the games and sell the others. I think we have missed only 2 home games (regular season & playoffs) since we moved back to the PNW 5 years ago, and it just sorta feels like it's time to roll off the throttle a bit.

After election, fans will be back in the stands and Covid will be an after thought...

That's gonna be super weird. The NBA does a pretty cool format and pretty sure the players can hear folks on Teams, but I it's a little easier to get the big TVs on a small court than a 100 yard football field.

Guess it'll feel like a lot of training camp to the players, you're just obviously going against another team.

I think those screen images of fans look terrifying.

As far as sound, I was thinking more about MLB, where I'm pretty sure the sound is only in the broadcast, not played over the loudspeaker.

I don't think the virus cares on who wins the election.
This is a world wide problem, and guess what most countries are not having elections
The truth is we as a nation have done a shitty job with dealing with it

We'll have to agree to disagree... As a state we've done a shitty job of dealing with it imo...

All 47 people in that state are doing well, right.

Comparing the population of Idaho (1.83 million) to Washington (7.54 million) isn't any different than comparing Washington to Florida (21.99 million).

That said, Washington is doing significantly better than the national average in cases (91.63 per 10,000 is 10th) and deaths (2.43 per 10,000 is 22nd). Though 265.12 deaths/10,000 cases is only 32nd, it's still better than the 313.03 that is the national average. With the numbers being like this, don't expect Inslee to change course any time soon.

Idaho - 30th, 11th, 3rd
Florida - 49th, 37th, 17th

And WA also counts deaths as COVID no matter the actual cause of death so long as that person tested positive. That is a direct quote from the person in charge of the state's health stats department/office. Also, multiple positive tests on a single individual are counting as separate cases. I don't expect numbers on stuff like this to be 100% accurate, but there are real problems with what we are counting here -- enough to make me very skeptical of what the ground truth actually is.

But yeah, I agree Inslee isn't gonna let up...because science and data and not politics. (and also piss down my back and tell me it's raining)
