Timeout before half

I just noticed somebody else said something about this in another thread. I know it may be a little nit picky but when it happened last night , I immediately said why. There was actually over 20 seconds left. Im not sure JG called it though. Witten was pushed out of bounds but the official kept the clock running because his forward progress had stopped. Al Michaels said timeout Dallas. It showed JG and he was nodding his head like he approved. I dont think he called it , I just think he was trying to stay as calm as possible and not blow his stack at the person who called it. If he did call it, he really does have serious issues with the time management thing.

All I could think of was that someone mistakenly thought it was 3rd down. I had forgotten about that, but it was dumb.

I know its minor but imagine a miss right there and the Eagles need 25 yards in 18 seconds. Thats a reasonable shot at 3 points when all you had to do was either make them burn a timeout or let the clock run down to 4 seconds and kick it.

If you want to complain, complain about the two pass plays on 3rd and 2 in the first half and the 4th and 2 in the second or passing it 30 more times than running it.
