Apparently with the Walker to waivers move today, the flyers are close to completing a trade for Tim Gleason, 28 year old dman from Carolina. Don't know much about him. I don't see him being worth much more than some prospects, but apparently Carolina over values him (ofcourse). He seems like a good fit, physical guy can handle himself well, can fight if necessary. I wouldnt mind it so long we don't lose any big pieces. I could see us shipping any combo of marshall/gust/harry z/bartulis/picks (pick 2).

i foresee a 2nd round pick and maybe marshall.. i dont see it being a whole lot more than that, if it is i'll be saddened.. i dont wanna see harry z moved, but he's the kind of player that the flyers have an abundance of.. i'd rather see them move wellwood or holmstrom though

gleason is the type of guy i think the team could use though.. tough gritty player.. i dont know a whole lot more about him though

He is no more then than another end of the rotation guy for us but he does have decent size 6-0, 215 and is a tough defensive defender. I don't see giving up alot (not Harry Z) to get him.

yep, now is when he'd actually have value.. no word on calling up anyone to replace timo either and he's not expected to play tomorrow.. and i think we can all agree that there's no way they play tomorrow with 5 defensemen

I was getting Gleason mixed up with Calgary's Hanan, who I believe is injured now. Gleason is a nice addition for us if he is indeed traded. I hope we can keep Harry Z.

Well it was a pleasure to see Gleason get an assist on an empty net goal versus the Sabres.

Gleason's ok but not a big move like he says. He'd definitely be better than Bourdon due to experience and if Bourdon is our 6th dman we're not doing too badly....I'm cool with this if it happens. Hopefully the canes don't r*pe us.
