Thoughts on yet another complete and utter disappointment of a season

Hill needs to just be the full time playcalling... too many coaches doing too many different jobs and calling plays for us. Offense was an inconsistent jumbled mess

and what is with the offensive line??? For the longest time it's been a strength for our program and the past two years it has sucked completely

whats mind blowing about this is the line is the only spot we've had continuity in our coaching Scott Huff has been our line coach since 2006 and up until 2015 his lines have been mostly great

I just don't get it

We suck plain and simple. Don't deserve anything better than a Las Vegas Bowl against a 6-6 PAC 12 team. And maybe don't even deserve that.

Our 6-6 Pac-12 opponent is currently losing and might not be 6-6 after all

who knows who we'll play if that happens

I don't feel as bad as opie. I think we lost to two teams that we were better than and that is very irritating. The play calling is just f-d up. Not sure whats going on behind the scenes but I hope they can get it figured out.

I must say I've seen where people are calling for firings and I think that's a little too far overboard. The nice thing is that it seems like for once we might actually have our entire staff remain the same so the continuity could really help us. We do need to reorganize duties because the offense just wasn't right all year.

Avalos was forgetten about but he did an amazing job with the defense this year, our defense came from one that either made a big play or missed a ton of tackles to give up a long touchdown to one that was very sound in it's tackling. We missed very few tackles all year. The defense went through a lot also they had to keep us afloat during several games this year because the offense was so bad at times.

McNichols has been incredibly underrated by just about anyone, I don't think he has much of a draft stock right now which hopefully means he will stick around another year

I'll admit, there's a few times where I wondered if his first year was a product of Sanford being a great offensive coordinator, but he didn't have the best of time at Notre Dame this year.

There's been some flaws with Harsin so far, but I don't see how we can do any better at the moment.

We would have been in the American

I agree. It seemed a better deal back then with all the hype. I'm glad you guys didn't leave. I like the Nevada vs Boise State games whether football or basketball. Always a great time!! Nevada is slow to catch up with the MWC but i have faith that Nevada can and will win conference championships is major sports.

It was a good deal until they lost the autobid then it just wasn't worth it anymore. Unfortunately we're in separate divisions so we don't play as often anymore. This conference needs Nevada to get back to the point where they were a pest for the bigger programs that always put up a good fight and occasionally beat them. This whole conference needs to get back to that
