How Kawhi Leonard internalizes public comments made by others has absolutely nothing to do with his ability on the court. Pretty big reach here.

Besides, it is the Clippers that decided to move on from Bowen. It is yet another fairly large assumption to assume Kawhi cares about Bowen's comments. He probably doesn't.

I wasn't criticizing Kawhi. I was criticizing the Clippers and the assumptions they made.

I see both sides of this.

I do too.

But it's also quite simple.

high level introverts almost universally have a simple rule: don't embarrass them in public. Bowen broke that rule. So I can see why the Clips would bail on the guy.

At the same time, I see the counter argument as well.

Clippers are already the underdog.

They didn’t need anything else going against them.

Bowen needed to recognize who his employer was.

What evidence do we have that Kawhi had any issue with Bowens statement?

Shit like this is why the Clippers are already the underdogs. They move on from a guy who was doing his job.

One would think that with Sterling gone, they'd move past petty nonsense like this. But nope...the Clippers are still the Clippers.

These guys need a reboot. Like, oh I don't know, moving to say SEATTLE. FFS why aren't Steven A and Simmons and the rest of the dumdums yelling about how Silver needs to make Ballmer an offer he can't refuse?

Doesn’t matter. Preventative measure.

If Bowen wants to spout off like an idiot in favor of the spurs, get your check from them.

Clippers are the underdog because of the lakers and bad pr (not keeping no Taylor, brand or Odom was all fine basketball wise, but fans and media lost their minds over it).

So, as a preventative measure, the Clippers decide to make the guy they supposedly want to pursue look like an overly sensitive, thin skinned pussy?

The Clippers are underdogs because of piss poor front office management and doing shit like this.

They want to compete on an even level with the Lakers and they can't even figure out how to deal with the media.

Hiring Bowen in the first place was the mistake. He's a known Spurs homer, can't expect him to hide that away. He needs to be back in that market or on the national level, otherwise it becomes an issue every time the Spurs come to town.

Did he move the needle as an announcer or was he just 1 of 100? Did he have anything special about him?

I mean I always thought his bowtie was the only thing that really set him apart from any of the other talking heads.
