...but I wanted your input. you guys seem to be pretty big hockey fans, so I was wondering what is your favorite starting lineup introduction? my dad works for a junior hockey team here and is always looking for new ideas. this is their starting lineup (also note there are a couple NHL'ers on the team that year...Carter Camper is in the Bruins system and Brandon Bollig played for the Blackhawks).

Keep it simple.no glare,no flash.They don't need to get built up,they're juniors.
Guys like Fowler,Hall.Henrique,Campbell,Ellis,etc..all played here,and never had a chip on their shoulder.

the problem with this in the US (and especially in Nebraska) is that it is not a traditional hockey market, so they need to get people in the seats. they do that by having "flashy" things like this. as someone who has played hockey my whole life, i can tell you the usual people that come to the games don't know shit about hockey, but they go for entertainment. i wish that wasn't the case, but thats the truth.

Seriously, I agree. No need to overhype it. One of the most effective intro segments I ever saw the Jackets do was a video to OAR's "This Town" where they showed each player out and about in the community. Each player's name and number flashed up on the jumbo tron and they skated out mid video.

Example: The scene is RJ Umberger skating with the OSU hockey team, then in the locker room, then walking down Lane avenue towards Buffalo Wild Wings. Then his picture, then his #18, and he skates out.

Columbus actually does a pretty good job with this kind of stuff...unfortunately we don't have a jumbotron, but they do throw a screen up and have a video for the home opener. this year we actually used a Columbus video as the basis...here is the columbus version
