Well, after all the early round drama and 7 game series' and whatnot, the final 4 this year are the 1 and 2 seeds, just as it almost always is. The only lower seed wins were the 2 5-seeds beating the 4s.

The NBA playoffs are the least surprising of all the sports. If the Ws want a championship they simply have to get good enough to be a 1 or 2 seed, MAYBE a 3. It's not going to be easy no matter the coach.

And from the way they are playing it feels like a SA-Miami rematch, but my guess is SA wins this time.

That's right - the roster needs to be improved. They aren't good enough at the moment no matter who the coach is. Superstars generally win titles, while everyone else watches. Is Curry even a top 5 player in the NBA? A top quality backup pg is the first order of business. Curry needs more suppprt than he got last year.

I agree the Spurs will likely win this year. They should've won last year with a 5 point lead with 11 seconds on the clock and they are an improved team over last year. To me the Heat look like they're not as good this year.

Some logical messiness here...
They need a superstar according to this, and Curry isn't one, but then first thing they need is a backup PG?
Also, teams win titles without top 5 players...who on the Spurs is a top 5 NBA player? Or the Pacers? Larry Brown's ring-winning Pistons had no superstars either. Then again, to win without a slam dunk superstar you DO need a very very good coach.

Curry is definitely a top 10 player in the league, and his contract makes him even more valuable because there's room for other players around him. But David Lee eats up too much of that room which is why he may have to go.

Curry is not top 5 players....maybe top 10, if not then he is #11. If we trade Lee, then we need to have some one like KLove in return. Lee probably won't take us to the next level, but it is hard to replace a 20-10 guy (he is close, 18-9), especially at #4 position. I am hoping wishing that Kerr will involve Bogut more on offense next year.

Logical messiness lol? Not really - my point is that Curry can't do it alone, and to win without a superstar, you need to have a very, very good team. Warriors aren't there yet. I said superstars generally win titles, so I don't know how that got interpreted "as you must have a superstar to win a title." Good teams win titles, but repeat championships and dynasties usually means teams with elite players. You're talking Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Lebron, Magic, Larry Bird, Olajuwon. Even Tim Duncan was what I would consider elite at the beginning of his career. How many titles have these handful of superstars accounted for over the last 30 years?
