I have to tell you that this will be/is the easiest year for me as we move into ST. I'm not sure I even really care if we win anything at all. I'll be happy if we can just compete and allow me to enjoy baseball for the sake of 'watching the game'. Last year seemed to relase all the anxiety and frustration of 56 years for me. I was a kid back then but I did see the 1954 WS. Actually went to a game with my father. Anyways! I enter this year with hope but not a pressing need to 'win something'. Last year was magical. Never really could have imagined the ending last April. I think that you need a lot of things to align for you to win a WS. You need talent and a good helping of just plain luck. Talent alone will not bring you a WS title (most cases). As I sit back this year and enjoy baseball I'm sure that there are PHI fans sitting there bitting their nails. They do have the expectation of 'winning it all'. I'm pretty sure they expect nothing less than the title. It's almost a need. So easy to be disappointed! A few bad breaks. Maybe a called 3rd strike on your clean-up hitter in a playoff game and all your dreams shatter for another year. It's amazing what a WS title does for a fan.
