Absolutely nothing on TV now. Turn to a sports channel to find either Northern Western Mountain School of Economics playing Eastern Mississippi Tech in basketball or listen to if Tom Brady's jacket will be able to make the flight to the Patriots next AFC showdown.

I guess you could follow the NBA, but I'll ruin the surprise for you, the Golden State Warriors will win the title in June.

So.....College Football, please come back.

Bright side, Oregon hasn’t lost a football game yet this year.

I tend to feel that way about late July where the stuff that's going on at the time is basically the dog days area of the schedule. The WNBA, MLB, MLS, various auto racing events and that's about it. The main sport talk drama involves NFL player holdouts and that NBA Summer League stuff that exists for no other reason than it just does.

Don't get me wrong, there are highlights during the middle to late July period, but between Wimbledon's Finals and Week 0, it's a rough stretch of just waiting for College Football to get going and grasping for anything during said stretch to help pass the time.

July by the way is traditionally the only month in which there are no college sporting events going on. Softball and Baseball wrap up in June and Football doesn't start until August. July is just sort of there as a buffer between the school years.

I do appreciate being able to look forward to FB and BB seasons. With MSU, UM, Wiscy and OSU, the B1G has 4 schools that typically show up for both, or at least 4arely have a down year in both sports.

My focus switched to BB quicker than I would have like this year.

Absolute worst thumb-twiddling month waiting on kickoff. At least we get to open early this year, I guess (8/29, f'ing Thursday night game against GT).

OPie has apparently never watched "Ancient Aliens".

It saddens me that some folks refuse to recognize the truth.

You know your football and basketball teams suck when you’re ready for college baseball to start in a month

CBB is a far superior product to CFB and it's really not close. Better OOC matchups , more exciting conference play , FARRR better postseason but yeah I still miss CFB.

Also, SEC teams are actually willing to leave the 250 mile invisible radius around their campus to play a OOC game.

Absolutely . Don't get me wrong I love CFB but the reality in CFB is the ending is pretty much written before the season starts . Sure there are a few possible scenarios but it's just not as exciting as CBB.

More people in America watch football though so it is what it is but no one can seriously say that there's any part of CFB that's superior to CBB as it pertains to the actual product being watched

Pretty sure you can find some Channing Tatum movies to help you pass the time.
