I think you've had your negativity lens stuck in
I saw his stat line of no sacks and one tackle for the game. I'm expecting something in the general area of Kahlil Mack stat lines.

Sometimes stats can be misleading. I wouldn't have guessed #1, but I knew he was constantly getting pressure.
Can't see how he was even close to Mack.

Their metric only takes into account passing downs, the more you've had skews the number it's why he was ahead of one of the other pass rushers. He's putting up similar pressure with less opportunity to do so. To me if the pressure creates a turnover or an incomplete pass then it's just as good.

Bosa is also a rookie in his third game not a 6 year veteran. I'm confident he'll put up more sacks and tackles in time.

….and on a bum ankle.

The dude has been as advertised...generating pressure with superior technique and strength. It's pretty obvious just focusing on him during games as he can overwhelm tackles.

Good for him then. That's a good sign. Maybe he'll actually get to the quarterback once he's fully healed

and its also opening up for others along the line, see Armstead and Blair.

We've already been reading how well Armstead's been playing the run, good for him in adding pressure.

Small sample size. By years end we will see how things stack up. The real comparison this year will be between Bosa and Q Williams because of the debate that went on as to which one the 49ers should draft. For all the talk about Bosa being injury prone, I believe Williams has dealt with injuries his rookie season.

I like Williams a lot but for the 49ers' needs in particular, in my mind, there was no question that they should take Bosa.

But due to the positions they play, difficult to compare them.

It didn't really surprise me much....ok so the number 1 slot did, but the fact that he has shown to be very effective didn't. That dude has consistently been in the backfield on passing downs and its a thing of beauty to watch him and Ford have a party in the backfield at the QB's expense.

Don't know if Ford would be playing all downs even without tendinitis, but can't help wonder just how wrong our medical Staff was? I recall Lynch saying they knew about his knee so wondering if they knew to the extent of it? Ford hasn't played much snaps considering his cost.

I'm not getting on Ford, i'm wondering about our medical team?

It's a chronic issue, but he's been dealing with it for a while. It doesn't seem to hinder him because when he lines up, it's all out. Sure you can say that he's not getting 60-70+ snaps, but that's where the depth has shown up. This ain't on the medical team....and knowing what I know now, I'd sign this dude just as ShanaLynch did.

He's a gameplan wrecker.
