Everybody is talking about changes that need to be made on the ice.......
for this organization. And it is all talk....so far. The GM is the face of
this disastrous organization. Sather has been giving away picks as if
they mean very little in building a contending team. It is the only
way to build a winning organization. With whatever little talent
this team has, it will be difficult to get #1, #2 or even #3 extra picks.
For years this team has relied on big name players which most
did not pan out. Their inept scouting system and scouts, led by
Sather, keep drafting bottom 6 players. They need to draft top 6
players ....and the only way to do that is to straight-line their season
and finish last..............like the Anaheims and the Penguins, to mention two.
This team is made up of mostly bottom 6 players, except Nash who is
floundering with less talented role players. For 15 years Sather never had
an exact plan for this team. The mentality was 'we cannot fail, we are New York'.
And yet they have failed miserably. Bottom line: No Stanley Cup.
Ranger fans can only hope that their team continues to keep losing. And that
some GMs want some Ranger player to solidify their chance to win the SC.
The Rangers should be sellers for awhile.
