Following every Husker loss.............well, I woke up today, looked up into the sky and that cocksucker was nowhere to be found. Darker than shit outside....

I gave it a little time though, I let it sink in a little, and the eternal optimist in me created me own sun......me own light, if you will. First of all, there is nothing that we as fans can do to make this any better. There are several things we can do to make it worse.

We can freak out, call for Bo's head 2 games into the season, be negative about the outlook of Husker Football...........or we can calm the fuck down and realize that we can improve, things can get better. We have an Offense that is good enough to compete with (and beat) most teams in the country. We have a Defense which is not good enough to compete against any team that has any kind of a mobile QB.......that is just sorely evident. But we CAN get better.......there is still time.

I don't believe UCLA is an average team.........I really don't. They are a skilled team with talent in every facet with the exception of the kicking game probably........they just needed some decent coaching, and they have it now. After watching USC struggle with Syracuse yesterday, I can easily see UCLA beating that team. I can see UCLA beating anyone in the Pac 12 this season. I think they will do just fine in that conference.

Which leads me to what I feel we have to look forward to. Win the Big 10.......Win the mother fucker. If we do, we will have a shot at the Pac 12 Champion, in the same venue which we just got our ass handed to us yesterday in embarrassing fashion. That team might not be UCLA the second time around, but even if it isn't, it will be a team in the Pac 12 which is better than UCLA.......and we will have a 2nd shot to prove ourselves.

Obviously we have so much work to do before we can even think about sniffing that Big 10 Championship game, to even begin to think about sniffing that Rose Bowl.......but it is what we as fans have to look forward to.

I look forward to improvement........I look forward to seeing some dedication.........I look forward to seeing the Huskers pick themselves up and prevail. They have a lot of Seniors on that team, and I don't believe they will just lay down.

All is not lost.

NU only lost by 6..

If it had been like 3 of the losses last year, I'd be way more concerned.

Good point. Honestly with the way our Offense struggled in those types of games last season, I think UCLA would have taken last season's Huskers team to the shed. It was very encouraging to see the Offense fighting in this game. I was very impressed with how Taylor and Ameer never gave up.

Taylor had tears in his eyes at the end of the game. Shows where his heart is at.

Forgot to mention, I will be rooting for UCLA the rest of this season. Especially with my hatred for USC and Oregon.

There were some cocky ass players on that Bruins team yesterday though, so don't get the wrong idea........I don't like UCLA. I just want them to win all their games this year.
