Jack Hart competed in NWA Mid-Atlantic as Bret Hart and will begin competing in the World Wrestling Federation under his more familiar identity, Barry Horowitz by the end of the year.
Prince Iaukea is the original with that identity and son of King Curtis Iaukea and also competes as Abbuda Dein.
The Cuban Assassin is the more familiar version who will compete in WCW, David "Fidel" Sierra.
Blackjack Mulligan makes several appearances throughout the broadcast.
Angel Vachon is better known as Luna Vachon.
Bob Roop is also known as Maha Singh at this point in his career, along with Mark Lewin who is the Purple Haze.
Jack Barr will enter the WWF by the end of the year as Jimmy Jack Funk.
Blackjack Mulligan will enter the WWF later in the year as Big Machine before competing under his regular ring name.
Lex Luger has a bear and an actual personality.

Rick Casey is better known as Wendell Cooley.
The Invader is a masked preliminary competitor that isn't to be confused with the Invaders of WWC.
Dutch Mantell will relocate to Kansas after leaving the CWA later this year to compete in NWA Mid-Atlantic as part of the Kansas Jayhawks tag team with Bobby Jaggers.
"Gimme All Your Lovin'" by ZZ Top is used for the Fantastics vignette.
Another ZZ Top song, "Sleeping Bag" is used as the Fantastics' entrance theme.
The Spoiler is not to be confused with the more familiar Spoiler, masked identity of Don Jardine.
"Smuggler's Blues" by Glen Frey is used as the entrance theme for the Memphis Vice.
"Burning Heart" by Survivor is used for a Jerry Lawler montage of beating different opponents. Among them is Hulk Hogan who at this time is WWF Heavyweight Champion. Also in the montage are other wrestlers that at this point are competing outside of Memphis.
"The Wild Boys" by Duran Duran is used for a Bill Dundee montage.
Bill Dundee will be competing in NWA Mid-Atlantic by the end of this year.
Lance Russell announces that the Freedom Fighters, Jim Hellwig and Steve Borden are now known as the Blade Runners. Hellwig will become known as the Dingo Warrior, then Ultimate Warrior and Borden will become known as Sting after going their separate ways.

Lady Maxine had a cup of coffee in the WWF as Mad Maxine, but wasn't interested in being there full-time.
Norvell Austin was a member of the original Midnight Express with Dennis Condrey and Randy Rose.
The Bullet is a masked Bob Armstrong pretending to not be Bob Armstrong.
"All Hell's Breakin' Loose" by KISS is used as Robert Fuller's entrance theme.
Robert Fuller will eventually join WCW in 1993 as Col. Rob Parker and briefly the WWF as Tennessee Lee.
The Continental TV Championship is a literal trophy.
Mike Jackson, the ring announcer is also a competitor in both Alabama and Atlanta.

Thunderfoot had been a midcard level competitor, but at this point has dropped down to preliminary after a string of losses.
Harley Race will become a King later in the year after joining the WWF.
Jimmy Valiant's toque references the "Chicago Horizons." The Horizons were a short lived indoor soccer team.
