On a day UNC skates from the NCAA...
Ruled ineligible because he was taking legit classes, while UNC skates for athletes taking made up classes. lol seems about right.
Where are you getting your fake news from?
He was never ruled ineligible because classes were legit. He still will have four years of eligibility at NC State. He was told he has to follow the rules. He has to sit out a year after transferring, just like everyone one else.
He enrolled in a summer course, and transferred because Matta got fired. Had he never enrolled in a class he would be eligible, him taking real a class fucked him, while UNC can take fake classes and nothing happen. That was my only point.
He didn’t lose any eligibility though. You’re right, had he not enrolled he would’ve been fine.
But, saying nothing happened at UNC is also false. The NCAA isn’t the only governing body, and the issues going on at UNC were serious, and the worst outcome that could’ve happened at UNC would’ve been one handed down not from the NCAA. UNC has serious issues going on, that we’re well above sports. But, the NCAA doesnt govern academics, and UNC didnt have easy classes because of sports. The NCAA can’t judge curriculum. But, saying nothing happened at UNC is fake news and saying he was penalized for attending class is also not entirely correct. He is ineligible for the year because he has to follow rules and he knew that was a possibility.
