At least on a somewhat hopeful note, Michael J Fox looks to have gotten much better in his handling of it. So hopefully with new medication it may be more manageable in the future.

Yeah when you are rich I am sure it is much easier to fight a disease like this or AIDS like Magic has...but like you said hopefully over the years they found new ways to treat these diseases and extend a persons' life much longer.

I just worry cuz my sister is so tiny, she's like 5'2 and probably not even 100 pounds, if she gets pneumonia chit could get real in a hurry!

I remember when Magic had the news conference...I thought he would be gone in a year or two. Now, I've heard that if he were tested, he would show negative for HIV

I would suggest keeping ABA stats in and keeping the research clean and easy. NBA was weaker in that era as well, so if ABA numbers are a little inflated, so are NBA numbers, just to a smaller degree. And its not like we mentally separate the ABA versions of Dr. J or Iceman etc when it comes time to the vote anyway

Dr. J averaged 28 a game in the ABA 22 a game in the NBA and 24 a game total, okay we will use total NBA/ABA i'm good with that.
