Interesting article. I like what we did. IF the Jets did offer their 2023 1st rounder that should have been considered b/c it will likely be a top 10 pick. But i would hav also meant that we would of gotten entirely out of the first round. We got good value with the Saints trade and Dotson, Robinson, and Turner should all contribute to the offense this year.

Isn't that jumping the gun a bit. Shouldn't we wait to see how these picks pan out?

Not necessarily. You can judge a trade on two elements. The 1st being how the players panned out as your suggest here. The other is on the process itself. Did you get equal or better value at the time and did it make sense for your team at the time (considering they had lost their 3rd round pick and needed more draft capital yes it did).

Personally, I like the idea of getting the Jets #1 in 2023.

When is the last time they weren’t picking top ten?

Very true but we would have gotten completely out of the first round.

Valid points on #2, but I'm in the camp that thinks the Skins, or more specifically, RR dealt from a position of panic a little too much in acquiring Wince. Did the Skins need to find a QB for the 2022 season after Hienicke showed himself to be more legit back up than decent starting QB after the 2021 season? Sure, and from all indications there were no viable options in the draft facilitating a move involving already in the NFL players. I'm just not convinced Wince was the player to target. Nor did I like that the Skins took on all 28 million dollars of his current contract as it ate significantly into the money they had to spend to re-sign their own FAs or acquire FAs from other teams.

From all accounts Dotson looks like a high value pick. We heard very early that Desmond Howard couldn't get off the line of scrimmage in camp. This, after showing up in a limo with a tux on. I think we might have lucked out. We would know by know if he didn't belong.

Just waiting on Samuel and Wentz to round into shape. T. Turner already being knicked up isn't good. I hope Wes Schweitzer is ready. Probably gonna need him this year.

Dotson was a helluva a receiver at Penn State and I hope his skills continue to show and grow.

I've read that Dotson's been the highlight of OTAs thus far.
