Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Red Sox have placed Rusney Castillo on outright waivers.
Castillo will clear waivers, as there's no one interested in taking on what remains of his contract. The Cuban import has disappointed since Day 1 after inking a $72.5 million deal and will now be off the Red Sox' 40-man roster.

Damn, this is a killer for guys who have invested in Rusney.

Puig is absolutely killing me.

So far he has been a horrible waste of talent...and roster space.

Fucking Grandal! Batting .180, had two good weeks all year (on my bench for both, in my lineup most other weeks). Recently added Contreras and Hundley is my other C. (we start two catchers OR one plus an eligible DH) Since I dealt my DH long ago and have yet to find a new one (hoping Dae-Ho Lee gets six more starts there), I've been hesitant to drop Grandal.

Last night was the straw that broke my back. Dropped him.

So naturally he goes deep today.

Fucking baseball.
