I think ET is toast in these parts.
Team wise, I'm moving on.

Would miss Earl so much, been a great Hawk for most of his career till that stunt you pulled last season. That didn't sit well with the Coaches and FO as you can see and many fans.

Apparently the Hawks aren't going to budge on this situation.

Not sure how they should proceed, honestly. I could be a bit overly optimistic, but without Thomas I think this is a 8 or 9 win team. Having Thomas on the defense could be the difference between making the playoffs or just missing it.

Wish we could trade Thomas & a 5th rounder for K. Mack (Oakland)... I would do that all day long...

It’s an all around crappy situation, that I don’t see ending well for either side. Earl doesn’t look great after his comments on Kam a couple years ago either.

I don't like the sight of him anymore.

I would too. KM days of being a Raider will soon be over

I think the front office would be more inclined to paying a big contract to an elite pass rusher vs an elite free safety...

I'll side with ET on this one. Teams typically extend players they want a year before their contract is up and by not working out an extension with him it signals they aren't interested long-term in him. And with basically one good deal left in his career why put yourself at risk of blowing out a knee or some other season-ending injury that's going to cost you money in free agency.

The best move for the Hawks is to trade him but because they haven't that means the offers they've gotten haven't been enough to make him worth trading. Considering how bad the free agent Safety market has been it's likely teams aren't throwing high draft picks at a guy approaching 30 and wants a big contract.

No doubt about it. To have KM for 4 yrs in his prime hounding QB's would be great to have.

Good points, personally I wish they would just extend him, we're a better team with him... I can see him playing at a high level for the next several years...

Agreed! I think he has another 2 or 3 yrs of high play and he would be a good mentor for the younger players.

I cannot find any articles to substantiate, but I heard on the radio today that ET has reportedly flown back to Seattle from his Dallas area home.

710 is reporting that Earl Thomas has tweeted (I don't do twitter so cannot verify) that he's coming back to the team today. Josina Anderson reported it as well.

So is it to come and play in Seattle or to be traded? I guess we'll find out soon.
