Not sure why there's no thread on this because the chatter is all over the web about it, and has been for days. As unlikely as it is to actually happen, when has that ever stopped a discussion up here?

Adam Schein from NFL.com does a pretty good job breaking down why it isn't likely to happen, and yet there are a ton of stories out there from both cities suggesting it is almost inevitable.
It goes something like this:
Rivers doesn't want to stay with the bolts if they move to LA and is not signing any new contracts with them because of that very real possibility. Chargers are said to be very interested in Mariota even at the cost of next season's playoffs while he gets up to NFL speed. Titans would take Rivers as a sort of rent a player to help mentor ZM and give him a couple more years to be ready to take over the team. Whisenhunt worked with Rivers in SD and he fits his systems quite well.
Not sure who created the rumors and it's no shock there are lots propagating it as it's a bit of a dead time and there isn't much more to talk about.
The problem with this one is even if it's true there is zero chance either side would talk about it before the draft. The Titans don't have the first pick and it's said this deal ONLY goes down if TB doesn't take Mariota. Both sides would be working hard to prevent leaks to prevent TB from possibly taking Mariota over crab legs Winston.
Would fans on either side welcome such a trade? Who would actually have the most to gain with it? Just how absurd is the rumor?
