To my friends in Vancouver, this isn't meant to rub anything in, or keep open the wound of June 15th. The citizens of all of Canada, not just Vancouver, should be mad as hell.

IMO I think they deployed just enough law enforcement officials to handle the crowd under a "winning" scenario.

When the Bruins were getting further ahead as the game wore down,city officials should have brought in more backup if possible.

In all reality though,who can anticipate how many people out of thousands are going to turn into raged animals ,totally out of control,and in touch with reality.

Exactly. The officials aren't to blame for what happened. I'm sure a city as great as Vancouver is would have reacted much differently if they even had the slightest incline that that sort of stupidity was going to occur.

I mean....take last year for instance, if the lunatics here in Philly didn't go ballistic after their loss in the finals, who would??
