Would have loved to keep Austin. I was his only supporter on this board. Now all of a sudden you guys love him?

Wow! I had many debates with Swarm about TA making the defense and not just Suh. Still defended him post Suh...you’re right I never liked him.

Willie Young, for starters. (Too much of a badass though.)

Ebron

Ruddock

Whitehead

Fairley

Suh

Reif

I didn't want any of them to play elsewhere.

I miss Willie. He was my kind of player. Suh and Reif were money issues. Not going to pay Reif 8 figures to play RT when he is a LT. At least Wagner is a RT. Not paying Suh 20+ mil a year either. There was only 1 team dumb enough to do that and they destroyed their franchise doing it. Suh might be back next year anyway for closer to 10 mil. Rams probably cant afford to keep him

The rest meh. Even Rudock who I was pulling for just does not have the arm to be an NFL QB. He is a poor man's Nic Foles:heh:

I stand corrected. Thanks for your support.

Suh was only here because he was drafted to be here.

He wants to win.

Ruddock > the bum we have at backup. But he never played in NE...

Ruddock is still on the practice squad. My guess he is back next year.

I hope 'the good ol' boys' are fast learners. Most of the assistants are college coaches with little or no NFL experience.

I also hope week 1 is the extent of the 'shit show'.

Quin will fire Cooter

Long overdue. He's a QB coach, not an OC. Has no clue how to call a run game.

if Stafford is so great he should be able to play well under any OC. Get his hand picked bust out of here.

Only slightly less excited than having to converse with my transgender wannabee cousin and his new vampire buddy today at the ole family reunion.

Over/under on how many tasteless jokes I'll make is set at 3. 9 if the vampires watch the game with me (doubtful).

At least you have entertainment.

I'd prefer the whole clueless staff go at the same time, instead of a scape goat.

But it really makes no difference anyway. This franchise will find a new way to fuck up. They always do.

Ragnow is the Tomlinson pick over, everyone had him lower, except Detroit.

Sad when our GM is using PFF grades to draft a football team.

I will give him some credit for picking Agnew (which i think he got lucky), Golladay (so far) and Decker (I think he will be solid for us). I think K. Johnson will be pretty good too as long as he stays healthy.

Other than that, looking pretty bleak on draft picks and free agent spending.

At this point, he HAS TO sign Ziggy. If Ziggy gets to walk Scott free. We might end up have the worst D-line I've ever seen, talent wise. Second best player is Hyder (A journeyman coming off an achillies tear).

Ragnow was an early first round pick before the injury.

I don't know about that but I like the rest of your post.

I highly doubt anyone had Ragnow as a top 15 player before the injury. As I recall, he was a "late riser" before the night of the draft.

"Late risers" almost always bust. The only one who has had a decent career is Bruce Irvin. But for every one of him, you get ten Dion Jordan's.

I was always in Austin's court. It was very obvious that he was the most talented coach of the 3 on Caldwell's staff.

I think there was a pretty even split among posters here on Austin. I liked him too. He had some pretty solid defenses despite losing most of the talent on the D-line. When he did have talent, we had the #2 defense in football. Which proves that he was making the most with what he had.
