Gonna probably take a ball strikin Jesse to win this thing, this year.
Nice to see the Players back where it belongs.
I hated the Masters being the first real (major atmosphere) tournament of the season.
The Players served as a nice ramp up to the Masters.
I really like the Players. It seems like none of the Pro's never really figure this course out.
They could win one year, and then miss the cut the next.
17 gets all of the attention but 18 is one of my favorite holes in all of golf.
That is how you make a gut check 18. Water all down the left side.
If you want to know what tour pro's don't trust their driver ...watch 18.
Tommy Fleetwood goes off the back nine first in a solid but not special 1 under 35.
Then heads to the front nine and torches it by shooting a 6 under 30.
He is the leader at -7
An and Harman finished at -6.
Rory at -5.
Here comes Keegan Bradley. -6 after 10 holes.
Tiger puts two in the water on 17 during his second round. Cards a 7.
Yea, hitting more shots over par than par itself is something special.
Why isn't the Player's considered a major?
Lots of players consider it one...lots of players want it just the way it is. The biggest non-major tournament in the world. Personally I like it just the way it is....the same course year in, year out and nobody really has a stranglehold on the thing.
I won't bring up The Masters.
Phil Mickelson has now missed the cut in back to back tournaments.
Tiger is playing well despite the disaster on #17 in round two but the field is stronger now then it was when he was winning at a ridiculous pace.
250 out. Yeah, grab a 5 iron.
Rory and Fleetwood were three clear of the field, and within 2 holes, they've both fallen back to let a good two dozen or so players right back in the tournament.
The greens seem faster than usual.
Damn, Feherty just said that Fleetwood looks like a homeless guy that just robbed a Nike store.
Lol.. he's not really wrong. But if you make millions per year on tour I guess it doesn't matter what you look like.
I like Feherty. He's batshit crazy yet he's never come close to the line where he'd be worrying about his job.
Then it's time to up his game.
Damn, Rahm just saved himself at least a stroke by tagging a spectator right in the chest.
Pretty crazy to think that some 20 players still have a legit shot to win this.
