12 team keeper where we have to keep 1 with the option to keep 2. TD points are given for lenght of TD and requirements are 1QB,2RB,2WR,2Flex,1TE,K and D. 18 man rosters. Draft does not snake, I pick 5th and lost a shitload of mid round picks(8th,9th,11th) so whatever I do I'd best do it right with my first 7 players. Originally was gonna keep Foster and either upgrade on Cobb if it was there or redraft him. Anyway, the top 3 players that will be there for me are AJ Green, CJ Anderson and Justin Forsett. The plan is to grab CJ but no way I get him with 2 guys drafting in front of me so plan B is to grab AJ. Problem is the guy keeping Gronk dropped Forsett so my guess is he grabs either Green or CJ depending on who is there leaving me with Forsett who I'm just not that high on right now. Here are the keepers in draft order. The guys only keeping 1 have a supplimental round of which I pick 3rd.

Alshon Jeffery

Gronk

Jamaal Charles
Calvin Johnson

LeVeon Bell
Adrian Peterson

Randall Cobb

Marshawn Lynch
Shady

Aaron Rodgers
Eddie Lacy

Demarco Murray

Julio Jones
Matt Forte

Dez Bryant
Andrew Luck

ODB
Hill

DThomas
Antonio Brown

So I usually go into a draft with a plan damn well knowing I'll have to change on the fly, but hoping to snag LatMurray in the 3rd, Martin in the 4th, Foster in the 5th, best available in the 6th and QB in the 7th(hoping for Ben). Of course this can all change if better value falls my way but I don't get another pick until the 10th round and not sure what QB's will be there. Anyway, as long winded as this is, just wondering who you guise might grab as my #2 pick? If no CJ or Green, I'm thinking Gore or Hilton but I get stuck there.................thoughts?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

Sam, I think your plan is pretty solid. Just take the best guy available. Whomever you think that may be.

I love Forsett this season. I know he's too old to be a keeper (and I don't like him beyond 2015 anyway), but I think for this season in Trestman's offense he'll be golden. And if others feel as you do, you may be able to wait on him.

You'll do well, Sam.

Thanks Joe! Hoping the guy keeping Jeffrey feels the same, then I get either CJ or Green.............the way I see it in all the mocks I've done is I either end up RB heavy or WR heavy...............the most balance I've had is drafting Green first then the RB's I mentioned...............that's kinda why I'm considering Hilton at what would be #17................maybe too high but when you've put yourself in the situation I put myself in you have to take chances.

Man, I think either Gore or Hilton is a good choice.

I'd take AJ Green. If not him... Mike Evans? Better keeper value than the RBs, I think, and he won't come back to you.

the good thing is that the non-snake does not really affect you at all... Doesn't help, doesn't hurt... I would hate to be the 12th pick...

also, I don't think it is a big deal to lose 3 of your picks from round 8-12, that is when owners take there gambles anyways... If you have a solid first 7 rounds, I don't see any problem... and there is nothing wrong with waiting on QBs and getting the high potential guys like Teddy Bridgewater, Jameis Winston, etc... and with such a large bench, you might want to own 3 QBs, just so the wait wont hurt you too much...
