I guess I'm in the minority because I like Pierre...What I have found is that he's different on NBC broadcasts than TSN broadcasts. I don't know if he's been instructed by NBC to "dumb it down" for the US viewers, but that's the impression I get. I like his enthusiam on TSN.

/I can definitely understand how people can get creeped out by him, though.

I used to be on the "hate" bandwagon, but after seeing a few games of him on Canadian broadcasts, I've been won over. He's a little creepy, yes, and gives me nightmares. But he knows his hockey front to back.

Who knows maybe he does dumb it down for american fans but as an American who's been watching hockey for a real long time I find him very annoying and some of the things he says makes me want to reach throw the tv and choke him.truth is I mute him quite a bit

I find him very creepy and annoyingly overexuberant, and he plays favourites.

That said, he can be unintentionally hilarious, so I don't outright hate him.

not in the minority. hes pretty good at what he does. over the top but good

my buddy has gone to the WJC the last few years and saw gord and pierre eating at a restaurant. he said that they NEVER stopped talking even when eating and they just talked hockey the entire time its all they do. he also said they have the largest asses he has ever seen. he couldn't help BUT notice them.

I absolutely hate McGuire doing telecasts. I had written him off completely as a human until I recently saw him on Off the Record. He was rational and well informed.

If only he could bring some of that to his TSN telecasts my mute button would thank him.
