I'm bored. Deal with it. I do, however, think this is a decent idea.
Play all 14 league teams 10 times each = 140 games
Play all 5 teams of the same division in the opposite league twice each (AL East vs NL East...etc.)= 10 games
That's a total of 150 games...more than enough to determine the 3 division winners and 2 best wildcards.
That's a pretty balanced schedule. I am pretty sure some knucklehead would say, "Hey, we had to play the Yankees twice. You didn't."
1968 was the last season in which the ultimate balanced schedule was played. There were 10 teams in each league and played 18 times (18 games x 9 teams) = 162
Maybe with how things are going now the future could see something like this....or MLB can't come to a solution about this season and the league folds.
