But they keep 2 1st round picks. I think Hendrickson's people called last minute saying he was really interested in being with the Ravens. Ravens saw a similar player (yes older) and they get to keep their picks as much better value. I think short term the Ravens made the right decision, but this has to hurt their negotiating ability in the future for any trades.

I've laughed at the moves that the Raiders have made over the years in their multiple rebuilding seasons. However, I feel like this year is different. If Mendoza is the real deal, this could be the turning point. I think you now have the right coach and have made some good moves in free agency. With a ton of draft picks and money to burn, the Raiders could finally start to come back to relevance. Of course, I would not be happy about that but I'm a realist.

It just feels different this offseason. Do not expect much next season, maybe 6-8 wins.

But, in Kubiak's 2nd season after another FA and draft? Might be fighting for a WC maybe. Cautiously optimistic.
