I'm still conflicted on which way I lean. Would having that breathing room be good? Yes, but do I think it's worth the expense of possibly going TO New Orleans for the NFCC game? I just don't know about that.

I also have a bias, in that I have season tickets, so I both want the week 17 game to be as dramatic as possible, and I'd love to go to 2 home playoff games.

I think I'm leaning Go 9ers, as long as we take care of the Rams.

This is the problem I have with it. The Rams always give our guys trouble. I like that we are in the drivers seat even if the Niners win but week 17 could go either way and I would just prefer to stay in front of them. I'm really hoping we kill the Rams and essentially end their season and prime time is nice but it's a tall task. I can't think to far ahead right now.

Outside of Bosa, not a lot of defense being played in that game...

Alright so the 49ers won I have been on record for saying that I would prefer the saints to win and try to be up 2 on the 49ers but a lot of people would prefer the 49ers win and we can try to get the #1 seed.

Welp I hope you guys dont look stupid because the Rams are going to try to win today and this is the first time we will see them with Jalen Ramsey.

Why are you trying to ruin this?

Just enjoy it.

Remember. We have never EVER lost a home playoff game at least in the Carroll era

exactly which is why I was comfortable with the #2 seed I would rather be in that situation and try to take on New Orleans away in the conference game but by hoping the 49ers win we could end up easily go from the #2 seed to the #5 and have to go on the road to get to the super bowl in which I am not confident they can do

best possible outcome for the NFL in the 49/Saints game would have been a 49er victory ( makes Week 17 in seattle a play off game basically) now the best possible outcome in the Sea/Rams game is a Rams victory ( still keeps the week 17 a swing game ) and Keeps the Rams ( A BIG LA Market team ) in the playoff hunt.

We are down 21-3 at the half and playing like shit. That is why you don't root for your division rival to win today.

Winning the division is more important because you're guaranteed a playoff spot and at least one home game.

Even if the Saints won the #2 seed would've still be in play and while HFA throughout is great the most important thing about the 1 or 2 seed is the bye week so you get an extra week of prep time but more important a week for guys to rest their nagging injuries.

Now with the 9ers win and the Hawks loss their is a scenario where week 17 won't even matter to the 9ers. If the 9ers win their next two and the Hawks lose 1 or their next two the 9ers will have clinched the #1 seed since they'll own the tiebreakers against the Packers and Saints. It's possible neither team will have anything to play for and it'll be equivalent to a preseason game.

Yea I was kind of wondering just which team was best to win this game with a loss to the 49ers a few weeks back but I guess I would rather go to San Fran against a QB with less playoff experience than in NO against the Saints

I FREAKING CALLED IT this is exactly why you dont cheer on your divisional rival while you are freaking tied for first place that is so dumb.

We are not out of it yet the next 2 games are very winnable and the 49ers still have to play the rams and LA is still trying to get in the playoffs so that will be a tough game. Maybe we can even get lucky next week the Falcons offense looked good putting up 40 points with Matt Ryan back. regardless this falls on the hawks if they lose any of the next two games and cannot win the final game of the season at home in which the 49ers do they do not deserve the division title.
