What I LOVE about this team... the bench makes significant contributions every single night (or afternoon) and it varies who makes them. Boban with a double/double today. And the defensive effort is there even if it isn’t always effective.

As you and I have both been saying all season - this team is just fun to watch.

tons of fun. Carlisle is highly under rated in all this. He's built the perfect bench/role players and all the guys seem to be buying in. moving Hardaway to starting lineup was brilliant move on his part.

Or even better a young Magic Johnson, which is a better comp IMO.

Needs to get better at defense to be an all time great IMO, but that's about effort and he's very young still.

I don't see Magic, but either way, you could make the argument that at the same age, the kid is better than either was, which is insane considering one is the greatest PG ever and the other the 2nd greatest SF

The number of Mavs “fans” that have been demanding his firing over the past few years because he “doesn’t trust young players” is damn near comical. I had to leave one site before I got banned because I was spending more time defending Rick and calling these GM wannabes morons then talking legitimate hoops.

Luka looks to be special.

But let's pump the brakes on the Magic/Bird comparisons. No need to put that kind of pressure on the kid.

Maybe, instead of being the next Magic or Bird, he can just be the first Luka Doncic and wait until the end of his career (or at least until he's been around awhile longer) to see where he stacks up.

I’m with you. Just as there were all those Bird comparisons that people tried to lay on Dirk early in his career before he defined himself and now people are comparing 7’ players to Dirk.

Let Luka be Luka. Because right now, Luka is pretty fucking good.
