The Sox can probably use Moncada's lefty at bats.

The announcers were posting some stats on the game yesterday as to how poorly we're hitting against RH pitching. So Yoan's bat, especially when he's hitting from the left side of the plate, will be very important.

Vaughn hit two homers in Charlotte last night in one of his tune-up games.

I really struggle to get how opposing teams figure out White Sox tipping pitches - when no one spends more time studying those pitchers than the White Sox. Last season Hendrik's wife had to tell him he was tipping his pitches. My WTF for today.

I hated that so much when he said it but he got away with it cuz he did ok that shortened season. All is well and good if you back your talk with good play. Keuchel did not so good riddance.

I dont have any faith in this team winning anything of significance until TLR is gone

The primary reason this year's team is failing is their offense. Doesn't matter who their manager is if they can't stay healthy and hit to their historical averages.

As far as the future goes - or possibly this year the Sox have two guys doing very well - that would be AAA 25 year old Catcher Carlos Perez - batting .273 with catching skills. Perez has been a streaky hitter, but is an absolute hammer when hot.

In AA - the Sox have Lenyn Sosa - 22 year old Venezuelan 2nd baseman - who can play 3rd and SS. He's hitting .350 and shows power. Came up a SS, but has played 2nd base the last few seasons.

The Sox released Luis Gonzales OF on waivers after the season last year - he was just named Rookie of the Year for the month of May as a San Francisco Giant.

I vividly remember the slow start, yet mega hot finish to that crazy '83 season. Personally, I think the chances are slim to none - and slim was last seen leaving the building with Elvis - that there will be a repeat of that magical year. But hey, what's the point of being a fan if you can't hold onto a ray of hope.
