Just in checking the stat lines, it looks like Dylan was dealin today, but those who actually watched the game might have a different take. With our rotation and the rest of the roster for that matter so banged up, it would be huge if Cease can be counted on in his next 4-5 starts.

Greetings from Gatlinburg TN, the north gateway to Smoky Mountains National Park. Some serious hiking is in store for yours truly over the next couple of days.

I see the Sox broke out the sticks and kicked some Tigers booty. I hope there's no medical issue with Kopech. He only went 4 innings, but I noticed he logged 69 pitches, so I'm hoping it was simply a matter of being on a pitch count. The last thing we need is another injured starter.

Big thanks on the Kopech update! I'm pretty much reduced to just checking the box score these days while we're out and about terrorizing the local communities. So when I saw that he only pitched thru the 4th and with what's been happening to so many of our pitchers and players, I was a bit concerned.

An extremely important play in yesterday's game was Reese McGuire backhanding the ball in the dirt and tossing Austin Meadows out at 2nd with a perfect throw. Kopech even has a slow delivery -working against success. The put out made the difference for Kopech of 1 out with a runner on 2nd or two outs nobody on.
