So I'm on a 10 mile run today, and when I get into the meditative zone around mile 6, my thoughts turn to the Giants. Here's the batting order I'd use for the next two weeks:

Ross/Nate CF -- L/R platoon
Keppinger 2B
Panda 3B
Beltran RF
Belt 1B
Huff LF
OC SS
Whiteside C

Then, when rosters expand on Sept 1, I'd add:
Towers
PTB
MiggE6
Burriss
Stamos
Bullet
Peguero
Runzler
Chez3
Tanner

Depth Chart:
C -- Whitey, Stewey, Chez3
1B -- Belt, Huff, DeRo, Panda
2B -- Kepp, Fonty, Burriss
3B -- Panda, Miggy, DeRo
SS -- Miggy, OC, Stamos
LF -- Huff, PTB, RoRo, DeRo
CF -- Ross, Nate, Towers, RoRo
RF -- Beltran, Nate, Peguero

PR -- Bullet
PH -- PTB

I like the lineup tz. Also, a 10 mile run??? Very nice. I think the most I can run right now is 3 miles and I thought I was good

;)

So how many steps are involved in a 10 mile run for someone who checks in at 5'3"?

Can't see it myself - did you see him on that triple and few games back - he is so stiff he can hardly run - might be a great way to get him to the DL though!!!

i gotta say Huff looks like darren ford compared to bonds at the end of his career, but they still ran him out there night after night.

Once Huff starts hitting like Teh Lord did at the end of his career, you can come back and make this point again...

We need a god damn leadoff hitter to step up. Hell we need our hitters to step up! I think it's pretty clear, priority number 1 this offseason, find a leadoff hitter!

+1 If you going to turn and move like cheese you better be able to hit. I think Huff will stay at 1st and Belt will play left - as it should be until Beltran returns.

Then we see what Belt has done and how BB deals with it.

I try for one long run a week -- don't always get one in (that's what she...)

It's really not that hard if you build up to it. Interestingly, when we were in HS, running was a punishment, now it's meditation.

I'll be getting a 5 miler in today while the Giants wrap up game one in ATL.
