I really think it is time to give the C to Logan Couture and perhaps A to Vlasic. Couture showed a lot of heart and care for his team dropping the gloves against the Kings. And he is letting the world know how much he hates losing and wants to win a cup badly. This is the Captain we need right here.

I think Couture will probably end up being the C at some point.
I do like the heart he showed too....but would have rather he actually helped with some offense. It's not like he did much to help those last 4 games either...just like the rest of the group.

Cooch should be the C, but he cant really be in reality as long as jumbo is still on the team. He and patty have been the Captains for a decade, so just giving cooch the letter doesnt really make him the leader. To really pass down the torch, the original bearer needs to go.

Couture is the Captain of the future.

One of the things I remember in Game 5, came toward the end of the 1st period when the team was starting to look like they weren't trying and then Couture made a hit along the boards that got people excited. Then Torres hit a guy and the momentum was starting to shift in the Sharks direction when the period ended. Then at the very start of the 2nd Niemi killed it by letting in a softy.

However Couture has the fire that Joe and Patrick lack.

You expect him to drop out of Lady Bing contention?

Good one. Never liked that award. Of course Patty is nominated but for all the wrong reasons. I always look at a guys face in the NHL as they get older. You can tell who are the warriors over the years, the scars, the missing teeth, the broken noses. Look at Patty's face. Looks the same as when he was 18 then look at Ricci's face. A big difference and a big difference in how they played too.
