What a run they're on
1.5 out of the 2nd WC
Unsustainable run. Daddy will be coming to town soon to give them a reality check.
Does it really need to be? They're 1.5 back now.
Giants got back to that close as well. They seem to have reverted back to reality.
Apparently they’re a streaky team, so what’s likely to happen after this white hot streak ends?
Exactly. And how many games is really needed for that 2nd NL WC with how things are looking?
I'd say the Mets are a much more dangerous team than the Giants- especially if Nimmo comes back firing. Yeah, there's a pool of teams... but the Mets are 100% in the mix. I'd take them a lot more seriously than the Giants.
It is still impressive. No matter how much you hate the team.
They're now playing important baseball for at least the rest of August.
They were 11 games under after the AS break and looking like they wouldn't play any important games in the month of August.
Especially when you consider the rotation.
DeGrom, Stroman, Noah, Wheeler, & Matz.
That is a scary ass rotation if they get in the playoffs
Not a fun team to see in a WC game on paper. They can throw the kitchen sink at you.
It’s an impressive run for sure. My money is still on them finishing with a losing record, but if I’m wrong it won’t be the first time or last time
The fact we're even talking about the Mets at all says a lot about how weak the 2nd NL WC looks right now.
It’s the Mets, they’ll find a way to fuck it up....They’ll be playing teams that aren’t well under .500 soon.....We shall see......
First wild card too. Lot of clubs hovering close to .500
My guess is they finish with a winning record but just miss out. 82-80 is my prediction.
Shit about to get real for them though starting friday. The one easy series they have over the next month is a 3 game set vs KC.
We will see if they're legit or not really soon
Really, if the Dodgers don’t get the NL pennant, shame on them this year.
Vegas is going to be happy to take bets on the NL WC race, that much is for sure.
Their starting rotation finally started to click. If they can sustain that, they will be in the hunt the rest of the year
@Used 2 B Hu pulling up at Citi Field now that the Mets are back over .500 and in the race.
