I'm not dinging Rapp as I think he's going to be an above average SS at the NFL level for over a decade. From what I've observed he appears to be a guy who can play all over the field at the CFB level, but I wouldn't trust him as a free safety in a cover-3 base defense where the FS essentially plays centerfield.
He's all around a great player and excelled in the Husky defense all around the field, but I see him as a guy who will be a great run defender and terrific in zone coverage as a SS. If you put him at FS, you take him out of the box and take away form of his greatest strengths and he could be a slight liability if he's playing FS in cover 3. He has excellent instincts, but I don't believe he has the athleticism to really cover that much ground.
Ya'll got a great player, he'll be an excellent SS and can probably hold up at FS if he is asked to do so, but he's a better fit at SS.
Hopefully our front 7 is really good which will make him look even better
