    SO,
I have raked the yard while fighting with last nights dinner and hockey game induced indigestion. I came up with a plan.

    1. Fire Hakstol, Murphy & Laperriere. The static point to point system is not working, the defense is regressing and PK is a joke. I think we all agree on these things.

    2. Trade from the core to aquire a real NHL Center who can play a swing role between 2nd and 3rd lines, who can kill penalties and or play on the PP. This could cost up to or including Voracek or Simmonds plus Gudas.

    3. Waive Lehtera to the Phantoms. Bring up Vecchione. We are going to be on the smaller side can we at least be fast. Lehtera has size but I have seen paint dry faster than he skates. Also, Vecchione has some skills and can kill penalties and slide up and down the lineup in a pinch.

    4. Bench Provorov. Not long. A game or two. Make him watch from above (this is something I don't recall him ever having to do). Also, what is up with his shot and passing? He seems to have lost all velocity and control.

    5. Trade for a real NHL Goalie who doesn't need surgery to walk to the car. Waive/outright Neuvirth & Pickard. Get the bad taste our of our mouths. Elliot can be the back up when he is healthy. Until then, Stolie can ride the pine. This team is dying a not so slow death because of the weakness and inconsistency between the pipes.

    6. Ultimatum from Above: If Hextall doesn't fix this mess, his last day with the team will be between the last game of the season and clean out day.

Gotta change the coaching staff. Gotta get a goalie.

I just don’t see how Hextall can sit there when they’ve been down 4+ goals in 25% of their last 30 games. That is so bad!

Terrible at free agent signings and trade pretty good at drafting and salary cap. Please send him packing with Haks. He totally lost any confidence i had in him when he signed JVR.

    Well, Homer has spoken.

    Hextall's reign is over.

Like all of the musings wbon. Hextall turned-out to be a failure in the big picture. Five years, two playoff appearances, no reliable goalie, and a regressing team overall. Geez, this is depressing.
