It's not uncommon for movies and show to have a point of view.. You don't have to watch... .

I think for the most part it's more a question of familiarity that often turns out to be a nothing burger once the initial surprise is over... Although I don't disagree that some movies with heavy does of political correctness can turn out to be crapola. Wonder Woman 1984 comes to mind here..

It 100% depends on the script. In WW84, if they removed all the “woke” stuff but keep the overall story intact, it would still suck.

Best example is “House of the Dragon” vs “Rings of Power”. Both faced accusations of wokeness before they aired, and after the finishing their first seasons, it turned out that HotD is far “woker”, but it’s a better written show with the political elements interwoven into the story, so it has been better received.

A movie like “Get Out” is full of poñitical, and it’s an amazing movie.

I thought LOTR was a good TV series. It was creative, and imaginative. It had interesting characters.
