As fans we often criticize the coaching or play calling. I wonder how many notice the little things.
Do you think it was just a coincidence D Young had 3 TD runs or do you think the coaches saw something?
Same goes for Helu that one game. Some thought he was going to be seen a lot in that situation.
How about little to no blitzing against the Chargers this week and instead playing coverage and holding Rivers to one of his worst games of the year.
Sometimes it's the game within the game that makes football so fun. Cofield and Bowen expected the first down run inside the one on the goal line stand. They knew it because of film study and coaching. They recognized the play on 2nd down when San Diego went heavy, another tendency and they had Hall cover Gates just for that purpose. It's fun stuff.
