When you sharpen everything with an outline, well... OK. But I worry that something will get strained with that kind of reach. At least the profile actually looks like an animated profile face used in the Batman cartoons.

I don’t buy it. I think people are seeing things that they want to see so they can act like they get it more than the next guy.
I have no idea to which profile you are referring.

I don't really care if you buy it. In fact I think it's weird you're even being contentious about it?:noidea:

Contentious? Just saying I don’t see it. Why does a disagreement have to be contentious?

In fact I wasn’t really even aware there was a disagreement. I didn’t realize you were arguing in favor of the theory, but just reporting that it existed.

Just watched Death Wish (2018). Pretty good honestly. Of course it got bad critic ratings because of good ol' liberal Hollyweird and the notion that 'guns solve things'... but yah, THEY DO. Someone breaks in my home, they're leaving with the coroner.

Anyway, pretty good acting by Willis, good overall revenge flick. Decent popcorn fun. I'd give it an IMDB 6.0-6.5 out of 10. Dunno if I'd watch it again, but it held my interest for a majority of the show. It's predictable and you know where it's going, and it's just a reboot, but it was done about as well as you could ask a reboot to do.

Wasn't it good ol' liberal Hollyweird that made the movie and about a dozen others of a similar theme?

Just watched Precious starring Gabourey Sidibe n Mo' Nique. Good movie, but damn it was brutal as well the shit the main character, Precious, was put through.

Also watched Green Room. A horror/thriller movie about a punk band where 1 member of the band witnesses some skinheads murder a girl. So the skinheads decide to murder the punk band as well. The trippiest thing about it was Patrick Stewart was the leader of the skinheads. It was alright.

Watched Bill and Ted Face the Music last night. It was okay but not as good as the previous two movies. Worth a Redbox rental but not much more than that.

Stumbled across this and thought it was kinda cool.

The mirror makes Batman's face. I kinda agree with yer sentiment. While Phoenix was great, the film was a one-time watch for me.

I never caught that. Had to look hard.

Trial of The Chicago 7. It was decent. Not great. Not bad. It's an Aaron Sorkin flick (West Wing). So as with all of his stuff, it was heavy on the too glib, too witty, too "just right" dialog, but not as annoying as I generally find his stuff. 6/10. Netflix.

The Dead Don’t Die

Weird zomedy flick with Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigney and a bunch of decent cameos. Some very odd 4th-wall breaking as well.

Overall, I think it was a swing and miss, but I still think it was worth the 100 min run time.

Run (Hulu original)

I thought it was excellent, if somewhat reminiscent of Misery.

Wheelchair bound girl find outs secrets about her mother (Sarah Paulson) little by little. Lots of twists and tension.

New Mutants. I was slightly disappointed in that I thought that there’d be more horror. Although I did like the smiley men. Sucks that they never went with Mr. Sinister as a main villain in any of the movies.

I went in with low expectations due to reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Stayed very true to the comics character-wise, not so much location wise.

I feel like it's a movie that is intentionally bad to make a point. With the talent involved it should've been way better.

----

After watching Beauty and the Beast live action again it's pretty apparent that most of these modern Disney movies are trash. Classic Disney movies get better with time. Time won't be kind to this era.

My Octopus Teacher - A documentary, it's actually a love story about a man and an octopus.. seriously. Amazing underwater footage. Highly recommended. 10/10

Moonlight - Finally watched this best picture winner about a black boy/teen/man navigating his sexuality. 3 different actors play the lead throughout his life. It was a good flick. I enjoyed it more that I expected. 8.5/10

Judy - Judy Garland bio-pic. It covers mostly the last year or so of her life with some flashbacks. Meh... not great. Even Zellweger's performance was overrated. She tries and was compelling at times when she wasn't performing. But she ain't Judy Garland which was painfully obvious during the performance scenes where Zellweger did the singing, which are only likely to make the viewer wonder what all the fuss was about. 5/10

The Battered Bastards of Baseball

9.8/10

Absolutely loved this documentary on the Portland Mavericks and Bing Russell.

Was almost completely ignorant of the story. Almost. Independent baseball team of misfits and castoffs joins an established minor league of MLB affiliates in the 70’s. Fun ensues.

also was somehow unaware of this from prolly my favorite actor.

For shits and giggles I watched They Call Me Nobody.

Terrence Hill (Trinity) and Henry Fonda. Music by Ennio Morricone.

For sure not Clint worthy but almost entertaining.
