Saw Venom.

Spider-Man villains are generally fairly lame but this took the idea of Venom and had fun with it. This is probably as good as the venom character ever gets but the ending feels rushed, formulaic and a cg orgy of silliness.

I watched M*A*S*H again last night. I saw it in a theater when it came out. It was the first R rated movie I ever attended without a parent. I liked it a lot back then and probably watched it maybe one more time since, back in the 70s. But it has not aged well at all. It was definitely a movie "of its time" which was the height of the Vietnam war and anti-war sentiment... which was really what the movie was about, even though it was set in Korea. I laughed maybe twice and could not wait for it, and the stupid football game with a very annoying musical soundtrack that took up much of the last 20 minutes, to end.

Blindspotting or Bad Times at the El Royale. I thought they were both pretty good and great uses of color in the films.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly.

I just probably had overly high expectations given all the awards

I went on a best picture nominee tear and watched Three Billboards, Darkest Hour, The Post, and Shape of Water... after all of that, I decided that Three Billboards would have probably got the nod from myself, while I didn't think much of any of them. I will say that I thought The Shape of Water was a very pretty film though.

I warcheda great western last night...................Tom Horn (1980)

Steve McQueen plays Tom Horn, Cowboy, Interpretor, Man who captured Geronimo and Went up San Juan with Teddy Roosevelt. Was hung in 1903 because he bailerd out the Cattlemen's Association of Wyoming and they we afraid he was getting too popular and railroaded him on a trumped up murder charge.

I am a big McQueen fan. I happened to catch "The Sand Pebbles" for about the 5th or 6th time a month or so ago, love that one.

Just saw They Shall Not Grow Old

I was hoping for more footage but it was worth seeing and really a great documentary on The Great War. Peter Jackson seems like a good dude

The movie felt a lot like In Bruges to me. I feel like there is a style there and if you like that style then the movie is really, really good. You're given some flawed characters, some tough situations, there is no salvation, and everyone has to deal with mortality in their own way. Every part of the setting is staged a very specific way to move the plot.

I kinda want to see Seven Psychopaths now to see if Martin McDonagh has this same style in all of his movies.

Swiss Army Man

I was expecting this to be weird, and it exceeded all my expectations. One of the strangest movies I have seen in a while.

A Star is Born

Great fucking movie

1st half basically flawless

Saw it this weekend with my wife, and IMO it's pretty much the best movie of the year for me. Great performances and some pretty great music.

Bedtime Story (1964)

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1998) is a remake of this movie. The plots are essentially the same, including most of the characters having the same names. The only major plot difference is the ending.

In this movie, David Niven is the experienced one, with Marlon Brando the understudy. Not surprisingly, Brando is a much better actor than Martin, albeit not as overtly funny. Shirley Jones is the "contest" woman. Some recognizable names in minor roles, including John Banner. (best known as Sgt. Schultz)

Lego Movie Second Part

Movie is pretty much what you'd expect but there is a redundant character that needlessly complicates the plot and message in the movie. There are some good, timely jokes but this is a modern Ghostbusters 2 and probably won't get stuck in anyone's head for too long.

Wolf of Wall Street

The FX TV version.......Better than I thought it would be.
Thought it was gonna be boring and sluggish, but it was surprisingly good

But if you have not seen it,its a must cause Margot Robbie has to be the hottest blonde I think I've ever seen since Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct......Probably the hottest ever in a movie.

OMG :what: OMG :yahoo: OMG  OMGGGG :wank::wank::wank:

Will be watching again.......
